If you are driving from Borobudur, head east on Jl. Raya Borobudur toward Jl. Giritengah. Follow the road for about 4 km until you reach the village of Giritengah. Look for local signs pointing to Punthuk Mongkrong. Parking is available at the site, but be prepared for a small parking fee of around IDR 5,000.

From Borobudur, take a local minibus (angkot) heading to Magelang. You can catch this minibus from the main road near the Borobudur Temple entrance. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Giritengah. The fare should be around IDR 10,000. Once you arrive in Giritengah, you might need to walk approximately 1 km uphill to reach Punthuk Mongkrong. Alternatively, you can hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) for a fare of around IDR 15,000.
