If you're traveling by car from any location in the Gili Islands, first take a local boat (public ferry or private charter) to Bangsal Harbour on Lombok Island. The boat ride typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes and costs around IDR 15,000 to IDR 100,000 depending on the service. Once you arrive at Bangsal, you can either rent a car or take a taxi to Pantai Ampenan. The drive from Bangsal to Pantai Ampenan takes approximately 30 minutes. Follow the signs towards Mataram City, and then take the exit onto Jl. Pabean, where Pantai Ampenan is located.

Public Transportation
To reach Pantai Ampenan using public transportation, start by taking a local boat from your Gili Island (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, or Gili Meno) to Bangsal Harbour. The boat ride costs between IDR 15,000 and IDR 100,000 and lasts about 30 to 60 minutes. Upon arrival at Bangsal, you can take a public minibus (angkot) to Mataram City. The fare for the angkot is around IDR 20,000. In Mataram, you will need to transfer to another angkot heading to Ampenan. Once you reach Ampenan, it is a short walk to Pantai Ampenan, located on Jl. Pabean.
