Getting There

Car
If you are starting from Wamena, drive south on Jalan Raya Wamena - Jayapura for about 30 kilometers. You will reach the town of Jayapura, where you can refuel and gather supplies. From Jayapura, continue your journey by taking the Trans Papua road heading south. Follow the signs to Barru Regency. The journey may take around 6-7 hours, so ensure your vehicle is in good condition. Upon reaching the Libureng area, look for local signs directing you to the Celebes Canyon, located at FPX8+MG7.

Public Transportation
From Wamena, you can take a public minibus to Jayapura, which costs around IDR 150,000. Once in Jayapura, find a bus terminal and take a long-distance bus to Barru Regency. The fare is approximately IDR 300,000. Ask the driver to drop you off near Libureng. From there, you may need to hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) to reach Celebes Canyon. The motorcycle taxi will cost around IDR 50,000.
