Getting There

• TransJakarta Bus

  From North Jakarta, head to the nearest TransJakarta bus stop. Take the Corridor 1 bus (Blok M - Kota) and get off at the 'Gambir' stop. The National Monument is a short walk from there. After disembarking, head southeast on Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan, and you will see the monument in front of you.

• Angkot (Public Minibus)

  You can take an angkot (public minibus) with the route number D, which travels from North Jakarta towards Gambir. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to the National Monument. Once you get off, walk south on Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan, and you will reach the monument within a few minutes.

• Ojek (Motorcycle Taxi)

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can use an ojek (motorcycle taxi) service like Gojek or Grab. Open the app, set your pickup location in North Jakarta, and enter 'National Monument' as your destination. The fare will vary, but it typically costs around IDR 15,000 to IDR 25,000. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.

• Walking

  If you are relatively close to Central Jakarta, consider walking to the National Monument. Use Google Maps to navigate from your location in North Jakarta. Head towards Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan; the monument is a prominent landmark and hard to miss. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the walk may take around 30-40 minutes.
