If you are driving to Ratu Boko Temple, start by navigating to the Yogyakarta city center. From there, take Jl. Malioboro heading east until you reach the intersection with Jl. Piyungan. Turn left onto Jl. Piyungan and continue for approximately 20 km. You will pass several landmarks along the way. Look for signs to Prambanan and follow them. Once you reach Jl. Raya Piyungan - Prambanan, turn right and continue straight until you see the entrance to Ratu Boko Temple on your right. The temple is well-signposted.
Public Transportation
To reach Ratu Boko Temple via public transportation, start by taking a TransJogja bus from Yogyakarta city center. Board the bus heading towards Prambanan; the route number is 1A or 1B. Get off at the Prambanan stop. From there, you can catch a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) or a public minibus that goes to Ratu Boko Temple. It’s a short ride of about 10 minutes. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Ratu Boko.
