If you're traveling by car, head to Medan, the capital city of North Sumatra. From Medan, take Jalan Lintas Sumatera (Trans Sumatra Highway) towards the town of Binjai. Continue along this road until you reach the town of Bohorok. From Bohorok, follow the signs to Bukit Lawang, which is approximately 10 kilometers away. The road will lead you directly to Jl. Bukit Lawang Hill Resort, where Bukit Lawang Ecotourism is located. Parking is available near the area.

To reach Bukit Lawang by public transportation, start from Medan. Head to the Amplas Bus Terminal and look for a bus heading to Bukit Lawang. The bus ride will take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Bukit Lawang, you can walk to Jl. Bukit Lawang Hill Resort No.2, which is the main area for ecotourism activities. Ensure to check the bus schedule as it may vary.

From the Medan city center, you can take a minibus (also known as angkot) to Binjai. From Binjai, transfer to another angkot that goes to Bohorok. Once in Bohorok, you will need to find a local transport or walk approximately 10 kilometers to reach Bukit Lawang. This option is cheaper but may take longer, approximately 4-5 hours in total.
