If you're traveling by car, head towards Deli Serdang Regency. From Medan, take the Jalan Lintas Sumatera (Sumatra Cross Road) southbound. Follow the signs to Deli Serdang and keep driving for about 30 km until you reach Simpang Gn. Manumpak. Turn at the junction onto Jl. Simpang Gn. Manumpak A and continue for about 2 km. You will find Danau Linting on your left. There’s parking available near the lake.

To reach Danau Linting by public transport, catch a bus from Medan to Deli Serdang. Buses leave from Amplas Bus Terminal in Medan. The fare is approximately IDR 20,000 ($1.50) per person. After arriving at Deli Serdang, hire a local taxi or motorcycle taxi (ojek) to take you to Danau Linting. The taxi fare should be around IDR 50,000 ($3.50).
