If you are traveling by car, start from Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. Take Jalan Lintas Sumatera (Trans-Sumatra Highway) and head towards Berastagi. The journey is approximately 66 kilometers and will take about 2-3 hours depending on traffic conditions. Once you arrive in Berastagi, follow the signs towards Gundaling. Turn onto Jalan Perwira, and you will find Museum Pusaka Karo located on this road. Look for parking spots near the museum.

To reach Museum Pusaka Karo using public transportation, first take a bus from Medan to Berastagi. Buses depart from several terminals in Medan, such as Terminal Amplas and Terminal Pinang Baris.
