If you're traveling by car, start from Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. Head south on Jalan Jamin Ginting (also known as the Medan-Berisal road). Follow the road for approximately 55 kilometers until you reach the village of Doulu in Berastagi. Penatapan Doulu is located along Jalan Jamin Ginting at KM 55. Look for signs indicating the tourist attraction as you approach.

For those using public transportation, take a bus or minivan from Medan to Berastagi. Buses to Berastagi leave frequently from the Amplas Terminal in Medan. The journey typically takes around 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Berastagi, you can either take a local taxi or another minivan towards Sibolangit and ask the driver to drop you off at KM 55 on Jalan Jamin Ginting, where Penatapan Doulu is located. Expect to pay around IDR 50,000-100,000 for the taxi ride from Berastagi.
