From Toba, take the Jalan Lumban Julu road heading north. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the village of Hatinggian. The Situmurun Waterfall is located in Jonggi Nihuta, so keep an eye out for local signposts. Once you reach Jonggi Nihuta, follow the signs to the waterfall which is about a 10-minute drive from the village center. Parking is available near the entrance.

To reach Situmurun Waterfall using public transportation, take a minibus (angkot) from Medan to Toba. The journey takes about 4 hours. Once you arrive in Toba, you can catch another angkot heading towards Lumban Julu. Inform the driver that you are going to Jonggi Nihuta; they should be familiar with the area. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at Hatinggian and follow the signs to Situmurun Waterfall, which is a short walk from the drop-off point. Be prepared for a small fee for the entrance to the waterfall area, typically around IDR 10,000.
