Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. Take the Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto road heading southeast. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with Jalan T. Amir Hamzah. Turn left onto Jalan T. Amir Hamzah and drive for about 10 km. Then, turn right onto Jalan Namo Mirik, following the signs towards Kutalimbaru. After about 5 km, you will reach the area of Namo Mirik. Look for the coordinates 9GMC+7V on your GPS, which will guide you directly to the location of Tebing Janda. Ensure your GPS is updated as the area can have limited signage.
Public Transportation
For those taking public transportation, board a minibus (angkot) from Medan to Kutalimbaru. The fare is typically around IDR 20,000. Once you arrive at the Kutalimbaru terminal, you can take a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to Namo Mirik for about IDR 15,000. Ask the driver to take you to the coordinates 9GMC+7V, which is the location of Tebing Janda. Make sure to have cash in small denominations as not all drivers will accept larger bills.
