If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. Take the Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto road heading southeast. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with Jalan T. Amir Hamzah. Turn left onto Jalan T. Amir Hamzah and drive for about 10 km. Then, turn right onto Jalan Namo Mirik, following the signs towards Kutalimbaru. After about 5 km, you will reach the area of Namo Mirik.
