If you are driving from Tanjung Pinang, the capital of the Riau Islands, take the Jalan Raya Tanjung Pinang route towards Bintan Resort. Continue straight on this road for approximately 45 km until you reach the intersection at Jl. Raya Busung. Turn left onto Jl. Raya Busung. Gurun Pasir Bintan will be on your right after about 10 km. Make sure to check fuel levels before you start your journey, as there are limited gas stations along the way.

To reach Gurun Pasir Bintan using public transport, start by taking a minibus from Tanjung Pinang to Bintan. Look for minibus routes heading towards Bintan Resort and ask for 'Busung' as your destination. The fare is around IDR 30,000 to IDR 50,000. Once you arrive at Busung village, you may need to hire a local taxi or ojek (motorcycle taxi) to cover the remaining 10 km to Gurun Pasir Bintan. The taxi fare should be approximately IDR 50,000.
