If you're driving, start from Pekanbaru, the capital city of Riau. Head southwest on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta, which will take you toward the Kampar Regency. After approximately 60 km, you'll reach the town of Bangkinang. From Bangkinang, continue on the main road (Jl. Raya Bangkinang) for about 30 km until you reach Tanjung Alai. Here, keep an eye out for signs indicating Pulau Gadang. You'll need to turn onto a small road leading to Pulau Gadang. Ulu Kasok is located within this area, and you may need to ask locals for the exact spot as it can be a bit tricky to find.

If you're using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Pekanbaru to Bangkinang. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal and the fare is around IDR 30,000. Once you arrive in Bangkinang, you can either hire a local taxi or use an ojek (motorcycle taxi) to get to Tanjung Alai.
