From Chinatown Semarang, head southeast on Jl. Pahlawan Sejati towards Jl. Gang 2. Continue straight until you reach Jl. Pemuda. Once you reach Jl. Pemuda, turn right. Lawang Sewu will be on your left at Jl. Pemuda No. 160, a short walk of about 15 minutes.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Chinatown. Start by cycling southeast on Jl. Pahlawan Sejati, then turn right onto Jl. Pemuda. Lawang Sewu will be on your left at Jl. Pemuda No. 160. The ride should take around 10 minutes.

Take an Angkot (public minivan) from the nearest Angkot stop in Chinatown. Look for the Angkot heading towards Semarang's main bus terminal (e.g., Angkot 09). Get off at the stop closest to Jl. Pemuda. From there, it's a short walk to Lawang Sewu, which is located at Jl. Pemuda No. 160. The fare for the Angkot is typically around IDR 5,000.
