From Banjarmasin, head east on Jalan Ahmad Yani towards Jalan A. Yani and continue for about 20 km until you reach the junction with Route 2. Merge onto Route 2 and follow the signs towards Martapura. Continue on Route 2 for approximately 95 km until you reach the town of Rantau. From Rantau, take Route 2 north towards Muara Komam. After about 80 km, you will reach a fork; take the left fork onto Jalan Raya Cuha to head towards Swan Slutung. Follow this road for about 30 km until you arrive at the Eye of Borneo (QR5G+4X, Swan Slutung, Muara Komam, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan 76283). Make sure to check your fuel level, as services may be limited along the way.

Start by taking a bus from Banjarmasin to Rantau. Buses leave regularly from the Banjarmasin bus terminal; you can expect to pay around IDR 50,000 for the fare. The journey takes around 3-4 hours. Once in Rantau, you’ll need to catch a local minibus heading to Muara Komam. The fare for this leg is about IDR 30,000, and it takes approximately 2 hours. Finally, from Muara Komam, hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) or a car to reach the Eye of Borneo, which is about a 30-minute ride away.
