Car Rental
To reach Bamus Volcano, you can rent a car in the city of Sorong, which is the nearest major city in South Papua. From Sorong, drive towards the town of Manokwari. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours. Make sure to have a GPS device or a reliable map, as road signs may not be clear. Once you reach Manokwari, continue on the road towards the Kaimana regency. After about 2 hours, you will take a turn towards the coast and follow local roads until you reach the vicinity of Bamus Volcano. Note that the roads may be bumpy, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

If you prefer public transport, take a bus from Sorong to Manokwari. Buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal in Sorong. The fare is approximately IDR 100,000. Once in Manokwari, you can catch another bus or shared minivan to Kaimana. After reaching Kaimana, you will need to arrange for a local taxi or motorcycle taxi to take you closer to Bamus Volcano.
