Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Port Moresby. Head southwest on the Sir John Guise Drive. Follow the road as it curves and continue straight onto Ela Beach Road. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see signs for Ela Beach. There is limited parking available near the beach, so it's advisable to arrive early.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a minibus (PMV) from the main bus station in Port Moresby. Look for a PMV heading towards Ela Beach or one that stops near the beach. The fare is relatively inexpensive, usually around 1-2 PGK. The journey may take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Ela Beach stop, it's just a short walk to the beach itself.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Port Moresby. Taxis are available in the city, and you can expect to pay around 15-30 PGK for a ride to Ela Beach. Make sure to agree on the fare before setting off. The drive should take about 15 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
