Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from central Ubud, start on Jalan Raya Ubud and head east. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jalan Monkey Forest. Turn left onto Jalan Monkey Forest and follow it until you reach the T-junction. At the T-junction, turn right onto Jalan Raya Sanggingan. Continue on this road for about 5 km. You will come to a sign for Ayung River Rafting. Follow the signs leading you to the river, where you can find parking. Be aware that parking may incur a fee of approximately IDR 5,000.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Ayung River by public transportation, take a local bemo (minibus) from Ubud's Ubud Market to the destination. Ask the driver for Ayung River or 'Rafting' as a reference. The fare will typically be around IDR 15,000. The bemo will drop you off at the nearest point to the river, from where you may need to walk approximately 1 km down a small path to reach the river itself.

  • Walking

    If you are nearby, you can walk to Ayung River from central Ubud. Head towards Jalan Raya Ubud and take a right on Jalan Raya Sanggingan. Walk along this road for about 30 minutes until you see the signs for Ayung River Rafting. Follow the signs which will lead you down to the riverbank. This route offers beautiful views, but ensure you have comfortable walking shoes as some paths may be uneven.
