Hi, I'm Eve. Here are a few practical things to know before exploring Nostalgic alleys.
Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you are staying in Kuta, start by heading towards Legian Street (Jalan Legian). This street is a major thoroughfare and easy to navigate. Once you reach the intersection with Jl. Nakula, turn right onto Jl. Nakula. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters until you reach the entrance to Gg. Nakula XXIX. The Nostalgic Alleys are located down this small alleyway, at No. 481x. Keep an eye out for local signs or ask a friendly local for directions if needed.
Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle. Many places in Kuta offer bicycle rentals at reasonable prices (usually around IDR 50,000 - 100,000 per day). After renting a bicycle, head towards Legian Street and follow the same directions as walking: turn right at Jl. Nakula and cycle down to Gg. Nakula XXIX. This route is relatively flat and easy to navigate, making it a pleasant ride.
Scooter Rental
If you prefer a faster mode of transportation, renting a scooter can be a great option. Scooter rentals are available throughout Kuta, typically costing around IDR 70,000 - 150,000 per day. From your accommodation, navigate to Legian Street, turn onto Jl. Nakula, and ride straight until you reach Gg. Nakula XXIX, where Nostalgic Alleys is located. Remember to wear a helmet and drive safely!
Local Shuttle or Taxi
If walking or biking isn't your preference, you can use local shuttle services or ride-hailing apps like Gojek or Grab. These services are affordable and convenient. Simply input 'Gg. Nakula XXIX No.481x, Legian' as your destination. The fare will vary but usually ranges from IDR 20,000 to 50,000 depending on your starting point in Kuta. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance of Nostalgic Alleys.
Use Nostalgic alleys as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
