Car
If you are driving, start your journey from Pontianak, the capital of West Kalimantan. Take the Trans Kalimantan Highway (Route 1) heading east towards Ketapang. The drive is approximately 300 kilometers and will take around 6-7 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Once you reach Ketapang, follow the signs to Deltapawan. Gunung Palung National Park is located about 30 kilometers from Ketapang. You can take Jl. Gajah Mada from Deltapawan, which leads you directly to the park entrance.

Public Transportation - Bus
From Pontianak, you can take a bus to Ketapang. There are several bus companies that operate this route, and the journey takes around 8-10 hours. Once you arrive at the Ketapang bus terminal, you can take a local minibus (angkot) or a taxi to Deltapawan. The fare for a minibus is around IDR 20,000, and it will take about 30 minutes to reach the park entrance from Ketapang.

If you prefer a quicker option from Ketapang to Gunung Palung National Park, consider taking a motorcycle taxi (ojek). You can find ojek drivers near the bus terminal. The fare should be negotiated beforehand, typically ranging from IDR 50,000 to IDR 75,000 for the trip to the park entrance, which takes about 20-30 minutes.
