Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Pontianak, take the Trans Kalimantan Highway (Route 1) heading south. Continue for approximately 420 km until you reach Ketapang Regency. Once in Ketapang, follow the signs to Benua Krio. From Ketapang, head east on the local road towards Dusun Sengkuang, where Kerajaan Hulu Aik is located. It is advisable to use a GPS navigation system to assist with the final route, as local roads may vary.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Pontianak, take a bus to Ketapang. Buses regularly depart from the main bus terminal. The journey will take around 8-10 hours, and costs approximately IDR 150,000 - IDR 250,000, depending on the bus class. Once you arrive in Ketapang, you can hire a local taxi or take a 'ojek' (motorcycle taxi) to reach Dusun Sengkuang, which is about 20 km away. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand (approximately IDR 50,000 - IDR 100,000).

• Public Transportation (Minivan)

  Another option is to take a minivan from Pontianak to Ketapang. These can be found at designated minivan stations. The ride will take approximately 7-9 hours and costs around IDR 200,000. Upon arrival in Ketapang, take a local transportation service or motorcycle taxi to Dusun Sengkuang. The cost will be similar to the bus option, around IDR 50,000 - IDR 100,000.

• Local Transport (Taxi/Ojek)

  Once you are in Ketapang, if you are not using a car, you can opt for local taxis or ojek (motorcycle taxis) to reach Kerajaan Hulu Aik. The ride from Ketapang to Dusun Sengkuang takes about 30-40 minutes. Always confirm the fare before starting your ride; a taxi may charge around IDR 100,000, while ojeks are typically cheaper.
