Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Padang City. Head southwest on Jl. Jend. Sudirman toward Jl. Diponegoro. Continue straight onto Jl. M. H. Thamrin. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn right onto Jl. Rimbo Kaluang. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer, and you will arrive at Padang Beach, which is located at the end of the road. Be aware that parking may be available near the beach, but it could be limited during peak hours.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
If you prefer to use public transportation, take a minibus (angkot) marked with 'D' or 'R' from the central bus terminal in Padang. These minibuses will take you towards the beachfront area. The fare is approximately IDR 5,000 to IDR 10,000. Request the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Padang Beach, which is about a 10-minute walk from the beach entrance. Follow the local signs to find your way.
Taxi or Ride-Hailing Services
For a more direct route, you can opt for a taxi or use ride-hailing services like Gojek or Grab. Simply input 'Padang Beach' or 'Rimbo Kaluang' as your destination. The cost will vary based on your starting location, but expect to pay between IDR 30,000 to IDR 70,000 depending on traffic conditions. The driver will take you directly to the beach entrance.
