Car
If you're driving from Padang, head north on the Trans-Sumatra Highway (Route 2) towards Bukittinggi. After about 90 km, take the exit towards Agam Regency. Follow the signs to Matur and then to Lawang. The road to Puncak Lawang is well-marked. You can park at the designated parking area near the viewpoint. Expect toll fees along the highway, which are approximately IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000.

From Padang, take a bus from the Terminal Alang-Alang Lebar to Bukittinggi. The fare is around IDR 40,000 to IDR 60,000. Once you arrive in Bukittinggi, transfer to a local minibus (angkot) heading to Matur. This will cost about IDR 15,000. Inform the driver to drop you off at the junction for Puncak Lawang.
