Discovery of Yogyakarta
Unfortunately the sultan Palace was unexpectedly closed so we could not visit it. The rest of the tour was good. The bird market is really surprising with a lot of animals not just birds. Batik and silver making experiences are interesting.

You should see Jogjakarta with Ditto as your tour guide!
Ditto gave us a tour of the palace, and I loved the fact that he was happy to accommodate our desire to see certain other things, eg he took to a Luwak coffee place to see the process and try the coffee, and a Batik place to witness how a Batik cloth is made. Last but not least, he gave us further recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try in the city.

Yogya City Tour
Yono took us to the Sultans Palace and Water Palace and Vredeburg museum. He also showed us Malioboro Street but we took a pass on the batik and silver and any shopping as this is the end of our trip to Asia and we are haggled and shopped out. Enjoyed the Palace but don’t go on Friday if you want to hear the music and see the dancing.
