Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the city center of Yogyakarta, head to the Giwangan Bus Terminal. You can take a local taxi or walk if you are close enough. Once at the terminal, look for buses heading towards Prambanan. Buses labeled 'Prambanan' or 'Bantul' are your best options. The fare is usually around IDR 5,000. After approximately 30-45 minutes, get off at the Prambanan Temple stop. From there, you can walk or take a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) to Lumbung Temple, which is about 3 km away.

• Bicycle Rental

  You can rent a bicycle from various shops in Yogyakarta. Start at the city center and head towards Jalan Raya Solo, following the road signs to Prambanan. The ride is approximately 13 km and will take around 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach Prambanan, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Lumbung Temple, which is located approximately 3 km from the Prambanan Temple complex.

• Walking

  If you are staying in a nearby area, you can walk to Lumbung Temple. Start by heading towards Prambanan Temple, which is the most recognizable landmark in the area. From Prambanan, head north towards Nngangrukbaru village. The temple is located about 3 km from Prambanan Temple, so it may take around 30-45 minutes to walk there. Make sure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes, as the path may not always be well-paved.

• Local Ojek (Motorcycle Taxi)

  Download a local ride-hailing app like Gojek or Grab. Once you have the app, set your pick-up location as your current position in Yogyakarta and enter 'Lumbung Temple' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the temple. The fare is typically reasonable, around IDR 20,000-30,000, and the ride will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
