Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start on the nearest major highway. For example, if you are coming from Decorah, head east on Highway 9 for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with Highway 52. Turn south onto Highway 52 and continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the town of Harmony, MN. Once in Harmony, look for County Road 30 and turn west. Niagara Cave is located at 29842 Co Rd 30, Harmony, MN 55939. The drive should take around 45 minutes depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound bus to the nearest major city, such as Rochester, MN. From there, you will need to catch a shuttle service or taxi to Harmony, MN. The shuttle service may require advance booking, so check local schedules ahead of time. Once in Harmony, you can use a local taxi service to reach Niagara Cave, which is about a 15-minute drive from the center of Harmony.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and are within a reasonable distance, consider biking to Niagara Cave. There are scenic back roads leading to the cave. From Harmony, take County Road 30 directly to the cave. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws. The ride from Harmony should take about 20 minutes, and it's about 3 miles.

• Walking

  If you're very close to Niagara Cave and want to walk, it's a lovely experience. From the center of Harmony, head west on County Road 30. It’s approximately a 3-mile walk, which should take you about an hour. Enjoy the beautiful countryside along the way, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
