Getting There

• Walking

  Start from downtown Burlington, head east on Jefferson Street towards the Mississippi River. Continue until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left (north) onto Main Street and walk all the way until you reach the intersection with 14th Street. Turn right (east) onto 14th Street and follow it until it becomes Summer Street. Continue straight onto Summer Street as it curves; you should see the entrance to the Starr's Cave Nature Center after about a 30-minute walk. If you need a break, there are several parks along the way.

• Biking

  Begin your journey at the Burlington Riverfront. Head north along the river on the Riverwalk Trail. After about half a mile, take the bridge that leads you across the river to connect with N 3rd St. Follow N 3rd St until it intersects with Summer Street. Turn right on Summer Street and continue straight for about 2 miles. You will see signs for Starr's Cave Nature Center on your left. This bike ride should take approximately 20-25 minutes.

• Public Transit

  From downtown Burlington, catch the Burlington Transit bus route that heads towards the West Burlington area. Ask the driver if they can drop you off at the nearest stop to Starr's Cave Nature Center. Once you are off the bus, you will need to walk about 1 mile northeast along Starrs Cave Park Road until you reach the Nature Center. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for the best times.
