If you are driving from within Corn Belt, take US-65 N toward Des Moines. Continue on US-65 N for about 30 miles until you reach the I-80 interchange. Merge onto I-80 W. After approximately 5 miles, take exit 143A for I-235 S toward Des Moines. Continue on I-235 S for about 5 miles. Take exit 8 for E Grand Ave. Turn left onto E Grand Ave, and after approximately 0.5 miles, the Iowa State Capitol will be on your left at 1007 E Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50319. There is often street parking available, but check for any parking fees in the area.

If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take the local bus service operated by DART (Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority). From any location in Corn Belt, locate the nearest bus stop and check for bus routes that head toward Des Moines. You may need to transfer buses depending on your starting point.
