From the heart of Iowa Great Lakes, head southeast on IA-86 S. Continue on IA-86 S until you reach the junction with IA-9 E. Take IA-9 E for approximately 10 miles. Follow the signs for IA-17 S and merge onto IA-17 S. Continue for another 5 miles until you reach the intersection with IA-502. Turn left onto IA-502 and drive for about 3 miles. Big Creek Lake will be on your left. Be sure to check for any parking fees at the lake entrance.
