From the center of Newton, head east on 1st Ave E towards E 7th St N. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with E 12th St N. Turn left onto E 12th St N and walk for another 0.3 miles. You will come to the Newton Public Library on your right. Continue straight and cross over N 2nd Ave E. After crossing, continue walking straight for another 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with N 5th Ave E. Turn right at this intersection and continue for about 0.1 miles, where you will see Gedney House at 21 High St on your left.

To reach Gedney House via public transit, start at the Newton Transit Center. From there, take Bus Route 1 towards 1st Ave E. After approximately 10 minutes, disembark at the stop named 'E 12th St N & N 5th Ave E'. From the bus stop, walk east on E 12th St N for about 0.2 miles, then turn left onto N 5th Ave E. Continue straight for about 0.1 miles, and you will find Gedney House at 21 High St on your left.
