However, the plans were repurposed, and the hotel opened in Baghdad in the early 1980s as The Babylon Oberoi. Over the years, it has been managed by various hotel groups, including Warwick Hotels and Resorts, before becoming the Babylon Rotana in 2019.The hotel boasts 284 rooms and suites, multiple dining venues serving diverse cuisines, and extensive facilities for business and leisure. Guests can enjoy amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and wellness center, a fitness center, and tennis courts.
