Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Baghdad and offer a convenient way to reach the Baghdad Tower. Hail a taxi and tell the driver to take you to 'Baghdad Tower in Al-Mansour'. Agree on a fare before starting your trip, as taxis in Baghdad are not typically equipped with meters. A short taxi ride within the city center should cost approximately 15,800 IQD (12.1 USD) for a 5km ride. For an 8km ride, expect to pay around 23,325 IQD (17.85 USD). Be sure to have Iraqi Dinar for payment, as credit cards are not widely accepted.
Public Transport
While public transportation is available in Baghdad, it may be less reliable and convenient for tourists. Locate the nearest bus stop and take a bus heading towards the city center, specifically the Al-Mansour area. Confirm with the driver that the bus stops near Baghdad Tower. Bus fares are affordable, typically around 250-500 IQD. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the tower. Note that a metro system is under construction with plans to open in 2029.
Walking
If you are in Al-Mansour, start by locating Al-Mansour Park, which is a well-known landmark. From the park, head northwest towards Al-Mansour Street. Walk along the street until you reach the intersection with Abu Nuwas Street. Turn left onto Abu Nuwas Street and continue walking straight. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see Baghdad Tower on your right. The tower is located at the address 8932+6XW, Baghdad, Baghdad Governorate.
