Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi non-governmental organization committed to promoting safety and development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education. Founded in 2016, SHO has been instrumental in organizing and executing programs throughout Iraq, including Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad provinces. The organization aims to provide financial and moral assistance to the poor, needy, widows, and people with special needs.SHO focuses on developing human and economic resources, supporting communities, and promoting citizenship, equality, and respect for freedoms. SHO actively raises awareness about the dangers of mines, explosives, and improvised explosive devices through public information, education, training, and community outreach. SHO's demining efforts have allowed families to return home, farmers to reclaim their fields, and communities to rebuild essential infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, and roads.SHO has offices in Duhok and Mosul and is authorized by the NGO Department in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region. The organization's work supports food security, economic recovery, and long-term development across Iraq, helping communities transition from crisis to stability.
