Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Mosul Old City, head east towards the Al-Nuri Mosque, which is a prominent landmark. From Al-Nuri Mosque, continue east on Al-Muhajirin Street for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass through local shops and cafes, which are great for a quick snack. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Al-Jadida Street. Turn left onto Al-Jadida Street and walk for about 500 meters. The Diab Al-Iraqi Mosque will be on your right-hand side, marked by a distinctive minaret.

    If you are near the Mosul University, start by walking west towards the Al-Muthanna Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on Al-Muthanna Street. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will arrive at a roundabout. Take the first exit onto Al-Ahrar Street and continue walking for another 800 meters. Look for the Diab Al-Iraqi Mosque on your left, just before you reach the intersection with Al-Jadida Street.

    From the Mosul Citadel, head south toward the Tigris River. Once you reach the riverbank, turn left and walk along the water for about 1.2 kilometers. You will see a park area on your right. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Al-Jadida Street. Turn right onto Al-Jadida Street and walk about 300 meters. The Diab Al-Iraqi Mosque will be on your left side, identifiable by its architectural features.
