Walking
From the city center of Sulaymaniyah, begin at Shari Naw (main square). Head northwest, passing the Sulaymaniyah Museum. Continue to Shari Tahrir and turn left. Walk about 1 kilometer; look for a sign indicating the path to Goizha Mountain. The hike to the summit takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
Public Transport
From Sulaymaniyah's central bus station, find a minibus heading towards the Goizha area. Ask the driver or locals to confirm the route. The fare is typically around 500 IQD. The bus will drop you off at the base of the mountain, from where it is a 30-45 minute hike to the top.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Sulaymaniyah. A taxi ride from the city center to the base of Goizha Mountain typically costs between 4,000 to 5,000 IQD. From there, follow the hiking trail to the summit. Taxi fares may be higher at night.
