Originally a 150-year-old cowshed on the Considine family farm, Moher Cottage was lovingly transformed in 2017 into a design-led store that showcases the best of Irish craftsmanship. The cottage exudes rural charm, with its turquoise signage and hand-painted "Fáilte" (Welcome) stone, inviting visitors to step inside and discover a treasure trove of hand-picked Irish-made crafts, books, art, and homeware.
Moher Cottage is renowned for its warm hospitality and stunning views. Voted as having Ireland's best coffee, it's the perfect place to relax and soak in the beautiful energy of the surrounding landscape. From the viewing terrace, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Liscannor Bay, stretching out to Lahinch beach and the Kerry mountains. The shop also serves locally baked goods and artisan Cliffs of Moher fudge made on the premises. Walking
From the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, exit the main entrance and follow the R478 road north. Walk for approximately 1 km (0.6 miles). Look for signs indicating St. Brigid's Well; Moher Cottage is located adjacent to the well. The walk should take about 20-30 minutes. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport
From Ennis, take Bus Éireann route 350 towards Doolin. Ask the driver to stop at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre. From the visitor center, it is approximately a 20-30 minute walk to Moher Cottage. Alternatively, take a taxi from the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre to Moher Cottage; expect to pay around €10-€15 for the short ride. A single bus fare from Ennis to the Cliffs of Moher is approximately €10-€15.
