Take the next right turn for Drum, and the farm is 2 miles (3km) up the road on the left. Ample free parking is available on site.

From Athlone town centre, go to the Bus Éireann station on the west side of the River Shannon. Take bus number 22 or 23 towards Roscommon. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to stop at the nearest stop to Glendeer Pet Farm near Curryroe. From there, walk towards Curryroe, following signs or asking locals for directions. A single fare on Bus Éireann within Athlone is approximately €2-€3.

This family-run farm spans 12 acres, combining six acres of farmland with an additional six acres dedicated to a scenic nature walk. Glendeer offers a unique opportunity for visitors of all ages to interact closely with a diverse range of animals in a safe and relaxed environment.Visitors can pet and even hold baby animals like puppies, chicks, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Children receive a bag of food to feed many of the farm's residents, including goats, sheep, emus, donkeys, cows, and llamas. More exotic animals like monkeys, wallabies, meerkats, and parrots also call Glendeer home. The farm boasts both indoor and outdoor playgrounds, ensuring fun regardless of the weather. Older children can enjoy a zip line, double obstacle course, and maze, while younger ones can explore a soft play area and sand barn.For a change of pace, visitors can take a stroll along the unspoiled nature walk, part of an old mass path, complete with fairy doors and a hobbit village.
