Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, navigate to Bishop Street in The Lough, Cork. From the center of Cork city, head south on Patrick Street, following signs for the N27. Continue onto Cork South Ring Road (N40). Take the exit towards Cloghroe/Blackrock (R610), then follow the signs for Cork city center. As you approach the city, keep left to stay on the R610, which will take you onto Victoria Road. Continue straight until you reach Bishop Street. There is limited street parking available nearby, and some paid parking options. Be mindful of parking restrictions.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, you can take Bus Éireann or a local bus service to reach the cathedral. From the city center, board a bus heading towards Bishopstown/University College Cork. The bus stops at The Lough, which is a short walk from Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance, as frequency may vary. As of now, a single journey ticket costs approximately €2.50. After disembarking at The Lough, walk up Bishop Street toward the cathedral, which should take around 5-10 minutes.

  For those already in the vicinity, walking is a great option. From the city center, head south down Patrick Street, then turn left onto Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the South Mall. Turn right and continue onto Oliver Plunkett Street. Follow the road until you see signs for The Lough, then make your way to Bishop Street. The cathedral is located at Bishop St, The Lough, Cork. The walk may take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your starting point.
