Car

If you're traveling by car, start by taking the N59 road from Galway City. Follow the signs for Clifden and continue on the N59 for approximately 30 kilometers. When you reach the village of Oughterard, turn left onto the R345, which will take you towards Lough Corrib. After about 10 kilometers, you will reach the Ballycurrin area. Look for signs directing you toward the Ballycurrin Lighthouse. There is limited parking available near the lighthouse, so plan accordingly.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Galway City to Oughterard. Bus Éireann operates services on this route. Once you arrive in Oughterard, you will need to take a taxi to reach Ballycurrin Lighthouse, as it is approximately 10 kilometers from the bus stop.
