Walking
From Salthill, head east towards the Salthill Promenade. Continue walking along the Promenade until you reach the main road (Rockbarton Road). Turn right onto Rockbarton Road and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the R336. Keep walking straight, passing through the village of Furbo. After Furbo, continue on the R336 until you reach the town of Cong. Once in Cong, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Abbey St, where Cong Abbey is located. It should be a short walk from the center of Cong.

From Salthill, walk to the nearest bus stop located on the main road (Rockbarton Road). Take a bus heading towards Galway City.
