Getting there

Walking

From Dingle town center, Kingdom Falconry at Milltown House is approximately a 20-30 minute walk. Head east along the waterfront, following the road as it curves along Dingle Harbour. Continue past the Dingle Marina, and Milltown House will be on your left. Look for the signs for Kingdom Falconry.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Dingle town. A short taxi ride from the town center to Kingdom Falconry takes about 5-10 minutes. Expect to pay around €9-10 for the trip. Several taxi services operate in Dingle, including Dingle Cabs and Begley's Tours & Taxi.

Driving

From Dingle town center, follow the R559 east towards Milltown. The drive is approximately 5 minutes. Limited parking is available at Milltown House. Alternatively, free street parking can be found along the road. Be mindful of parking restrictions and avoid parking on double yellow lines. A free car park is located off Green Street, a short walk away.

Situated on the grounds of Milltown House, near Dingle, the falconry offers a range of experiences, from public demonstrations to private hawk walks.During the 'Falconry Experience,' guests have the chance to handle and fly various birds of prey, including Harris Hawks, Peregrine Falcons, and Eurasian Eagle-Owls. Knowledgeable falconers guide visitors, sharing insights into the training, care, and natural behaviors of these magnificent creatures. The highlight for many is the opportunity to meet Orla, a Golden Eagle, once extinct in Ireland.For a more immersive adventure, the 'Hawk Walk' allows participants to accompany a Harris Hawk along the scenic Dingle Harbour. The hawk flies freely, following the group and landing on gloved hands, providing incredible photo opportunities. Kingdom Falconry is dedicated to making falconry accessible and enjoyable for all, fostering appreciation for these protected birds and the ancient art they represent.
