Driving
From Cork Airport, take the N71 to Bantry. From Bantry, follow the signs for the Sheep's Head peninsula. Continue along the coastal road, passing through Durrus, Ahakista and Kilcrohane. Drive as far as Tooreen where the road ends. There is a car park, seasonal cafe and public toilets available. From the car park, the lighthouse is approximately a 1 mile (1.5km) walk.

From the car park at Tooreen, follow the well-marked footpath towards the lighthouse. The path is approximately 1 mile (1.5km) long and crosses rocky terrain. The walk to the lighthouse should take approximately 20-30 minutes. Be aware of changing weather conditions and wear appropriate footwear.
