Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards the town of Blackrock in County Louth. From the M1 motorway, take exit 16 for the N52 towards Dundalk. Follow the N52 until you reach the roundabout at the junction with the R173. Take the R173 towards Blackrock. As you approach Blackrock, follow the signs for Haggardstown. Once in Haggardstown, navigate towards the coast where you will find the BlackRock promenade. There is parking available nearby but be aware that it may incur a small fee depending on the time of year.

• Public Transportation

  To reach BlackRock promenade via public transport, take a bus from Dundalk. Bus Eireann operates several routes that connect Dundalk with Blackrock. The bus stop you need is located near the Dundalk bus station. Look for the 163 or 164 routes heading towards Blackrock. The bus ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you alight at the Blackrock stop, it's a short walk to the promenade. Follow the main road towards the coast, and you will find the promenade with its stunning coastal views.

• Walking

  For those staying in Blackrock, you can easily walk to the promenade. Simply head towards the coast by walking down any of the main streets leading from the town center. Follow the signs for the beach, and you will find yourself on the BlackRock promenade, which offers spectacular views of both the mountains and the sea. This walk is pleasant and allows for exploration of the local area.
