If you are driving, start from Dundalk city center. Head southwest on the N52 towards the M1 motorway. Merge onto the M1 motorway and continue for approximately 8 kilometers. Take exit 18 for the R173 towards Carlingford/Blackrock. Follow the R173 for about 4 kilometers until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit to stay on R173. After another 2 kilometers, you will see signs for Proleek Dolmen. Turn right onto a small road leading to the dolmen site. There is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
From Dundalk, take Bus Éireann route 100 to Carlingford. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop in Carlingford and then transfer to a local taxi service or arrange for a rideshare to reach Proleek Dolmen, which is about 5 kilometers away. Expect to pay around €10-€15 for the taxi ride. Alternatively, if you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from Carlingford to Proleek Dolmen, which is about an hour's walk through scenic countryside.

If you are already near Proleek Dolmen and prefer walking, approach from the nearest village or town. There are marked walking trails from Dundalk and Carlingford.
