From Drogheda, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on West Street. Look for a bus heading towards Stamullen or the surrounding areas. You can take Bus Eireann route 163 or a similar route that connects Drogheda to Stamullen. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Stamullen bus stop, exit the bus and walk towards the village center. Follow the signs to Fourknocks, which is about a 20-minute walk away from the bus stop. Head north on the main road, and look for the signs directing you to Fourknocks Tomb.

If you prefer to walk, start your journey from Drogheda town center. Head northwest towards the Boyne River and cross the bridge at the West Bridge. Once across, continue straight onto the Dublin Road (N1). Follow the N1 north for about 4 kilometers until you reach the village of Stamullen. Upon entering Stamullen, look for signs directing you to Fourknocks, which will lead you to a footpath that will take you to the historical site. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Drogheda to Fourknocks. You can easily find a taxi service in Drogheda by asking at your hotel or searching online.
