Start at the Dublin city center. Head to the nearest Luas stop, either Abbey Street or O'Connell/Abbey Street. Take the Luas Red Line towards Tallaght. After 5 stops, get off at the Heuston Station stop. From Heuston Station, transfer to the Irish Rail services. Purchase a ticket to Kildare, board the train, and enjoy the approximately 30-minute journey. Once you arrive at Kildare station, exit the station and follow the signs for Grey Abbey Road. It is about a 15-minute walk from the station. Head south on Station Road, turn left onto the Nurney Road, and then right onto Grey Abbey Road. The Grey Abbey will be on your right.

From Dublin city center, locate the nearest bus stop for Bus Éireann or Dublin Bus. Take the bus route that heads towards Kildare. Check the schedule and purchase a ticket onboard. The journey takes approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Kildare town, disembark and head towards Grey Abbey Road. Follow the same walking directions from Kildare station as mentioned above: walk south on Station Road, turn left onto the Nurney Road, and then right onto Grey Abbey Road. The Grey Abbey will be on your right.

If you are already in Kildare town, you can walk to The Grey Abbey from the center. Start at the main square in Kildare, then head south on Station Road. Continue straight until you reach the Nurney Road. Turn left onto Nurney Road and then take your next right onto Grey Abbey Road. Follow this road for about 10-15 minutes and you will find The Grey Abbey on your right.
