Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start at the nearest town, such as Wicklow Town. From Wicklow Town, take the R751 road north towards Laragh. After about 10 km, you will reach the junction with the R756. Turn left onto the R756 and continue for about 5 km until you see signs for Hollywood Glen. The entrance to the glen is located at Mullycagh Upper, which is marked on most GPS systems. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Hollywood Glen via public transport, first take a bus from Dublin to Wicklow Town. Bus Eireann and Local Link offer services that typically take around 1.5 hours. Once in Wicklow Town, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Laragh. From Laragh, you will need to arrange a taxi or walk the remaining distance to Hollywood Glen, which is roughly 6 km. Be sure to check the local bus schedules, as they may not run frequently.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Wicklow Mountains and prefer to walk, you can access Hollywood Glen by hiking from nearby trails. If starting from Laragh, follow the marked walking trails that lead you towards the glen. The walk is approximately 6 km and should take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you wear appropriate hiking gear and have a map or GPS device, as the trails can be rugged.
