Bus
From Galway city center, walk to the Eyre Square Bus Station. Look for Bus Eireann route 423 towards Oughterard. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Oughterard, disembark at the bus stop near the village center. From there, walk south along Main Street, then turn left onto the N59. Continue for about 1 kilometer, and you will see Aughnanure Castle on your right.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Galway. Begin your journey by heading west towards the N59. Follow the N59 road out of Galway, taking in the scenic views along the way. The distance is approximately 20 kilometers, and it should take around 1 hour to reach Aughnanure Castle.
