From Galway City, head to the Galway Bus Station located at 15-19 Eyre Square. Take the Bus Éireann route 404 towards 'Claregalway'. The bus journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the Claregalway stop, disembark and walk towards the main road. Claregalway Castle will be a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Head northeast on the main road, and you will see signs directing you to the castle.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Galway city. Start your journey from Eyre Square and head east on the N6 towards the town of Claregalway. The route is approximately 12 kilometers and should take around 30-45 minutes depending on your cycling speed. As you arrive in Claregalway, follow signs to Claregalway Castle which is located near the center of the village.

For adventurous walkers, you can take a scenic walk from Galway City to Claregalway Castle. Start at the Spanish Arch and walk along the River Corrib, heading towards the N6 road.
