From the city center, head towards Eyre Square. Once you reach the square, take the exit towards Shop Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the Spanish Arch. From the Spanish Arch, turn left onto Quay Street and follow it until you reach the river. Cross over the bridge (O'Briens Bridge) and turn left along the riverbank. Continue walking along the river until you reach the Eglington Canal, which will be on your right. The canal is easily recognizable, and you can enjoy a scenic walk along its banks.
